Brindaban Das joins Kazi Nazrul Islam University

Eminent scriptwriter and actor Brindaban Das has embarked on a new journey as an adjunct teacher at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University on September 14. He will be part of the Theatre and Performance Department, imparting his wealth of knowledge and experience.

His role at the university entails providing practical training to students in areas such as film, television, and new media, all of which are covered in the curriculum under the banner of 'Script Writing.' The announcement of his academic venture was confirmed by his wife, renowned actress Shahanaz Khushi, through social media.

Brindaban Das had long aspired to become a teacher, but his career led him into scriptwriting and acting. Now, he can fulfill his wish, and his presence was warmly received by the students on their first day of classes.

Expressing his excitement, Brindaban Das said, "Teaching is a wonderful opportunity for me. I appreciate the curiosity the students have for me. While I may not label myself as a traditional teacher, I aim to be a mentor and guide to the students."

Brindaban Das has garnered both critical acclaim and audience appreciation for his remarkable screenplays, having penned numerous plays and serials, including "Harkipte," "Sakin Sarisuri," "Ghor Kutum," "Patro Chai," "Tin Geda," "Service Holder," "Mohor Sheikh," "Jamai Mela," and many more, totaling over four hundred dramas and serials.

His wife, Shahanaz Khushi, is a celebrated actress, and their twin sons, Shommo Joyti and Dibya Joyti, are emerging talents in the entertainment industry. Brindaban Das has also appeared in the second season of Ashfaque Nipun's highly anticipated web series, "Mohanagar."
