After a two-year hiatus for her maternity break, the popular actress Pori Moni is set to make a comeback to the silver screen with a government-grant movie titled ‘Dodor Golpo.’ The movie will be produced by G-Series.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues of the movie are crafted by fiction writer and director Reza Ghatok, with shooting scheduled to commence in the first week of October.

Pori Moni will play the role of Kajol Chowdhury in the movie, while the names of her co-artists will be announced soon. ‘Dodor Golpo’ received government funding amounting to Tk 60 lakh for the fiscal year 2021-22, with Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan (Khaled) taking the reins as the film’s producer.

Expressing her excitement about the project, Pori Moni said, “I am thrilled to be a part of this beautiful story. This day holds immense significance for me. Acting is ingrained in my very being. The movie industry is like my extended family, and I have really missed being a part of it for the past two years.”

She continued, “The wait is finally over. I have spent four months eagerly anticipating this story and immersing myself in my character. Every day, I have contemplated the role and the script. That’s why ‘Dodor Golpo’ holds a special place in my heart. Among many scripts, I chose this one after careful consideration. I hope my audience can look forward to something truly exceptional.”
