Popular film actress Shabnur has achieved a remarkable milestone in her acting career, spanning 30 years. Her journey as an actress commenced on October 15, 1993, when she starred opposite actor Sabbir in the film 'Chadni Rate,' directed by Ehtesham.
Throughout her extensive career, Shabnur earned her first National Film Award for her outstanding performance in the film 'Dui Noyoner Alo,' directed by Mostafizur Rahman Manik.
Reflecting on her 30-year journey in acting, Shabnur expressed her feelings, saying, "With the love and support of everyone, I have completed three decades in the world of cinema. Since the inception of my acting career, the strong demand from the audience for my films has continually piqued the interest of producers and directors, allowing me to reach the significant milestone of appearing in 158 films."
She continued, "Every film I have had the privilege to work on holds a special place in my heart. Among the numerous films in which I have acted, 'Shopner Thikana,' 'Shopner Prithivi,' 'Shopner Nayok,' 'Tomake Chai,' 'Tumi Amar,' 'Anando Oshru,' 'Prem Piyasi,' 'Sujan Sokhi,' 'Jibon Sangsar,' 'Mohamilan,' 'Narir Mon,' 'Amar Shopno Tumi,' 'Premer Taj Mahal,' and 'Ek Takar Bou' have received both commercial success and accolades from audiences and critics alike."
She further said, "During my career, I have had the honour of working with remarkable co-stars who have contributed significantly to my journey, including the late Salman Shah, with whom I starred in 14 highly acclaimed and commercially successful films within just four years until his untimely passing. I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with popular actors like Manna, Omar Sani, Bapparaj, Amin Khan, Amit Hasan, Riaz Ahmed, Ferdous Ahmed, Shakil Khan, and Shakib Khan, among others."
The actress expressed her gratitude and credited her success to a wide array of contributors, saying, "I am profoundly thankful to the numerous producers, directors, co-actors, screenwriters, playback singers, cameramen, and film crews who have been part of my film journey over the course of these thirty years. Most notably, my deepest appreciation goes to the audience, countless fans, and the media who have consistently supported me. Since I joined social media, I have been overwhelmed by the unwavering and growing love from my fans. The audience’s genuine affection is what motivates and sustains me, and I hope it continues into the future. At present, Shabnur is residing in Australia, where she is dedicated to her only son. She also spends time with friends and colleagues from Dhaka, as recently seen with actress Purnima and singer Kanak Champa during their visit to Australia.
