Popular actress Deepa Khandakar has collaborated with versatile actor Shatabdi Wadud in a government-funded short film titled ‘Bakita Itihas,’ based on a story by eminent writer Selina Hossain.

‘Bakita Itihas’ is co-directed by Shuvo Kumar Shil and Umme Salma Usha.

The filming of the movie has already been completed at the maternal grandmother's house of actor Iresh Zaker on Bailey Road in the capital.

Deepa Khandakar said, “Selina Hossain's stories always have a unique charm. She is a source of pride for Bengali literature. Working with her story is a privilege that not everyone gets. Essentially, the story is the main strength of this film. All of us have put forth our best efforts in portraying our roles. There's not much to say about the unit. As actors, we strive to overcome challenges and improve our work, which is precisely what happened here. Now it's time to see how it all turns out.”

Shatabdi Wadud said, “Working with Selina Hossain's stories is always something special. I commend the director for striving to do justice to her work. Both Deepa Khandakar and I made sincere efforts in our respective roles.”

In addition, Deepa Khandakar has commenced shooting for a new television serial under the direction of Sudip Biswas. She is also actively involved in modeling for various advertisements. Furthermore, she is a part of a film titled ‘Dark World,’ directed by Mustafizur Rahman Manik.

Conversely, Shatabdi Wadud is waiting for the release of the movie ‘Asambhab,’ directed by Aruna Biswas, which has been delayed due to the release of the film ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation.’
