Popular model and actress Anika Kabir Shokh is going to make a return on the small screen after a long break. She has recently acted in a tele-drama titled ‘Cook,’ written and directed by Maidul Rakib.
Popular actor Shamim Hasan Sarkar has teamed up with the actress in this tele-drama.
Shokh said, “The shooting for the tele-drama ‘Cook’ has been completed at various locations in Uttara last Saturday. In this tele-drama, I portrayed the character of Nabila. I was drawn to the story and decided to work on this project.”
Regarding her return to acting, she further said, “I resumed acting a few days after the birth of my daughter. It’s true that I can’t work continuously due to my daughter, but with the support of my mother and my husband, I can manage work when I come across a compelling story. The same goes for this tele-drama. When Maidul Rakib sent me the script, I felt it was a project I could take on.
“All in all, I worked on it with great enthusiasm. The presence of Kachi Khandkar, Shahid-Un-Nabi, Shamim Hasan Sarkar, and others was incredibly supportive. However, Maidul Rakib directed the drama with great care. I hope everyone will enjoy it,” she added.
Meanwhile, alongside acting, Anika Kabir Shokh is making efforts to be part of stage shows. Recently, she appeared as a special guest at the opening of Neha’s beauty studio, Perfect Line. As far, Shokh has acted in two movies, MB Manik’s ‘Bolo Na Tumi Amar’ opposite Shakib Khan, and ‘Olpo Olpo Premer Golpo,’ directed by Saniat Hossain.
