From the beginning, the discussion about Jaya Ahsan-starred Indian Bengali film 'Dasham Avatar' has been intense. The reason is that, on one hand, it is a sequel to ‘Baishe Srabon,' and on the other hand, it is a star-studded movie.
Alongside Jaya Ahsan from Bangladesh, the film features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Jesus Sengupta from Kolkata under the direction of Srijit Mukherji.
The production company, SVF, has reported that the movie has been performing exceptionally well since its release on October 19.
On Sunday (October 22), the movie earned Rs. 2 crores in just 3 days, which is equivalent to more than 2 crore 65 lakhs in Bangladeshi currency.
Tolly Bangla Box Office tweeted that more than 15,000 tickets were sold for the movie 'Dasham Avatar' on Ashtami. 'Bagha Jatin' movie tickets sold around 11 thousand, and 10,000 tickets were sold for the movie 'Raktbeej.' Jaya's movie is leading among all other Bengali movies released on the occasion of Puja.
Srijit Mukherjee has created a cinematic universe in the Bengali language, similar to Bollywood's Rohit Shetty. He produced the sequel to '22 Shravan' titled 'Second Man' and the prequel to ‘Baishe Srabon' titled 'Dasham Avatar.'
