Model and actress Mandira Chakraborty’s debut film titled ‘Kajol Rekha,’ directed by Gias Uddin Selim, is set to be released during the spring festival, on February 9, just ahead of Valentine’s Day next year. The director of this government-funded film has confirmed the release date.
Mandira Chakraborty, who plays the title role in ‘Kajol Rekha,’ mentioned that the film will soon be submitted for censor clearance. After completing all the necessary work for the movie, it is intended to be released on February 9 next year. The entire team is preparing for the release, aligning it with Valentine’s Day.
Mandira shared her thoughts on acting in this film, saying, “There were several potential release dates for ‘Kajol Rekha’ in the past, but the last one was postponed due to the Cricket World Cup. Now, the ‘Kajol Rekha’ team is planning to release the movie in conjunction with the spring festival. Hopefully, it won’t be delayed any further, and the audience in Bangladesh will finally get to see the 400-year-old story on the big screen. I am eagerly awaiting the release, just like my family, friends, and relatives.”
The actress, who is currently in Khulna to celebrate the Durga Puja, further added, “Whenever I go out, everyone inquires about the movie. So, I’m excited to share the news that my debut film will be released during the spring festival. Currently, I am in Khulna to celebrate Durga Puja. The festivity was wonderful, but they concluded on Dashami.”
However, until the release of ‘Kajol Rekha,’ Mandira Chakraborty won’t be taking on new film projects. A similar situation occurred with Farhana Mili before the release of Gias Uddin Selim’s ‘Monpura,’ where she refrained from acting in any new drama or film projects until its release.
