Prominent Bangladeshi band Nagarbaul will share the stage with two popular West Bengal bands, Chandrabindoo and Fossils, at a concert scheduled for November 2 at the central playground of Dhaka University (DU). The event is being organised by the DU Chhatra League to welcome new students for the year.
Chandrabindoo, the iconic West Bengal band, holds a special place in the hearts of Bangladeshi audiences. Over the past three decades, they have presented the audiences with timeless songs that continue to resonate with listeners. Hits like ‘Bondhu Tomaye,’ ‘Twaker Jotno Nin,’ ‘Adorer Nouka,’ ‘Amar Bhindeshi Tara,’ and ‘Ongko Ki Kothin’ are just a few examples.
Chandrabindoo has performed in Bangladesh multiple times in the past, gracing venues such as Dhaka Club, Fantasy Kingdom, and Chattogram’s Foy’s Lake. Their last visit to Dhaka was in 2014, courtesy of Desh TV. After nearly a decade, Chandrabindoo is returning to Dhaka to enthrall their fans once again.
On the other hand, Fossils is a rock band formed by singer Rupam Islam. The rock music scene in West Bengal experienced a revival with the band's formation in 1998. Their popular songs include ‘Nil Rong Chilo Bhishon Priyo,’ ‘Tomar Chokher Kalo Chai,’ and ‘Aro Ekbar,’ among others.
