Ovi Moinuddin, an eminent entertainment journalist, holds a significant place in the cultural landscape of the country, particularly within the domains of film, drama, and music. Over the span of 24 years, he has nurtured profound relationships with celebrities, enabling him to adeptly present news about their work to the media.

Recently, Ovi celebrated his remarkable 25-year milestone in journalism with a vibrant event entitled ‘Silver Jubilee Celebration of Ovi Moinuddin's Journey in Journalism,’ presented by Pia's Beauty Essentials. The event took place on October 30, just a day before Ovi's birthday, at the Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort in the capital.

Internationally renowned musician and composer, Runa Laila, attended the celebration as the chief guest, while the Ekushey Padak-winning veteran actress Dilara Zaman, among others, shared her insights at the event.

Expressing her profound admiration for Ovi and his work, the iconic Runa Laila said, “Congratulations to Ovi on his illustrious journey in journalism. Ovi possesses an unparalleled work ethic and the ability to navigate challenges with resilience. He has the patience and persistence to succeed, even when artistes are reluctant to grant interviews. Ovi has endeared himself to the hearts of artistes and is a devoted family man. This is a unique achievement, and he is beloved by all.”

Furthermore, Journalist Ali Imam Sumon, Ovi's mentor in journalism, and actor Bappa Raj, delivered speeches, extending their best wishes for Ovi's future success. The event was anchored by the popular hosts Shanta Jahan and Ruhani Labonno.

A captivating 20-minute documentary chronicling Ovi's 25-year journey in journalism, featuring heartfelt greetings from prominent figures in the country's cultural, entertainment, and business spheres, was screened during the event.

The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, courtesy of the film 'Kajol Rekha,' starring actress Mandira. Popular artistes Bappa Raj, Omar Sani, Amin Khan, Samrat, Symon, Bubly, Dighi, Faria Shahreen, Shirin Sheela, Sweety, Dolly Zahur, Runa Khan, Deepa, and Chumki, among others, were present at the event.

Additionally, the event featured performances by talented singers Apu Aman, Rajib, Yousuf, Liza, Rashed, and Mouri, adding a melodious note to the celebration.
