Rownok Jahan, a Japanese expatriate painter and poet, has garnered widespread acclaim for her three poetry books featured at this year’s Amar Ekushe Boimela. ‘Ami Durbeen Haate Tomare Chui’ was published by Boipatra Publications; while the other two, ‘Ekmutho Kothashomudro’ and ‘Meghbhanga Tumul Plabone’ found publication under Shikha Publications.

Commenting on the context, Rownok Jahan shared, I received a lot of positive responses from sharing my poems on Facebook, with readers expressing that my feelings are vividly conveyed through my poetry. This is a tremendous affirmation for any writer, and I am truly overwhelmed by their love. I am inspired to move forward with this encouragement.

She further said, Our lives have already become mechanical. My plea to everyone is to expand our outlook and work closely with nature.
