Anjuman Mehjabin, a prominent content creator and popular figure on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, has built a massive following through her engaging content and strong online presence. Her influence, especially among the youth of Bangladesh, has positioned her as a well-recognized digital personality in the country.
Recently, Anjuman Mehjabin took part in a humanitarian mission, distributing relief to flood-affected areas in Bangladesh. She shared videos of her relief efforts across her social media platforms, hoping to spread awareness and inspire others to help. However, instead of universal admiration, she encountered criticism from some netizens who accused her of merely seeking attention rather than genuinely assisting those in need.
Rather than ignore the backlash, Anjuman Mehjabin addressed the situation head-on, sharing a composed and heartfelt post to clarify her position and respond to her critics.
She explained, “There’s no doubt that giving in secret is a highly praised act. I strongly believe Allah cherishes such acts. However, I also think that making charitable deeds public is not wrong. If it encourages others to do good, the positive impact is even greater.”
Mehjabin expressed her sadness at the unwarranted negativity surrounding her actions, saying, “It’s disappointing when people find fault even in good deeds. Some assume I’m doing this just to show off. To those people, I say that none of us are without flaws. My teacher once told me, ‘If you don’t promote your good deeds, no one else will.’ So yes, I share my work openly. I’m not hurting anyone; instead, I’m trying to help.”
She further commented on the nature of the criticism, stating, “Some people always focus on the negatives in others’ actions. They don’t improve themselves, and instead, spend their time criticizing those who do. May Allah guide us all and grant us the wisdom to perform good deeds.”
Anjuman Mehjabin also took a moment to thank her supporters, saying, “To those who have stood by me, I am truly grateful. As for those who have criticized and mocked me, I pray that Allah guides them.”
Her candid and bold response has sparked a wave of discussion on social media, with many praising her courage and clarity in addressing the backlash. By standing firm in her beliefs, she has set an example for how public figures can handle negativity without losing focus on their good intentions.
In a time where public figures are often discouraged from sharing their charitable efforts due to fear of criticism, Anjuman Mehjabin’s response highlights the importance of resilience and staying true to one’s purpose. Her message underscores the idea that good deeds should be celebrated, not diminished by unwarranted negativity on social media.
As social media continues to shape public perception, Mehjabin’s stand serves as a reminder that staying committed to one's mission is more important than bowing to external criticism.
