Dengue: 3 more die, 403 hospitalized

In the past 24 hours, three more men have died from dengue, bringing the total number of dengue-related deaths this year to 95. The deceased were aged between 11 and 65 years. Additionally, 403 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to dengue infections during this period.

According to a press release issued on Saturday (September 7) by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), this information was revealed.

The report stated that among the newly infected, 92 cases were reported in the Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 36 in the Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 117 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 135 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 15 in the Khulna division (outside the city corporation), and 8 in the Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation).

Over the last 24 hours, 252 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country. So far this year, 13,603 patients have recovered.

As of September 7, 15,207 people have been infected with dengue, with 61.3% of the patients being male and 38.7% female.
