The interim cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, according to Hamas spokesperson Moussa Abu Marzouk, will go into effect tomorrow at 10am.
The announcement came following Israel’s agreement with Hamas for a four-day halt in fighting and the release of at least 50 of the approximately 240 hostages Hamas took on October 7, in exchange for the release of 150 underage and female Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli prisons.
The agreement was approved by the Israeli cabinet overnight.
According to Channel 12, Abu Marzouk claims that the majority of the hostages who are set for release are foreign citizens, though he does not disclose whether or not they also possess Israeli passports. According to Israel, every hostage will be an Israeli citizen or resident.
There has been no immediate confirmation from Israel.
