Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban currently has no plans to visit Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told RIA Novosti.
"It is not on the agenda now," Szijjarto said, answering the corresponding question.
The Hungarian leader last met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing in October 2023. Orban said during the meeting that the Russian-Hungarian relations "suffered a lot" due to the sanctions imposed by the European Union after the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine.
Hungary has consistently opposed the sanctions on Russian energy resources and has repeatedly called on the EU and NATO countries not to close the channels of communication with Russia.
