The Russian air defense systems have destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) over Russia's northwestern Novgorod Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday (10 March).
"On March 10, at about 3:30 p.m. Moscow time (12:30 GMT), an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using airplane-type UAVs against objects on Russian territory was thwarted. Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Novgorod Region," the ministry said.
Novgorod Region Governor Andrei Nikitin said on Telegram that the incident left no casualties or damage, and that regional authorities were in touch with security forces and the police.
