Voting in Russia's presidential election is proceeding smoothly, with no deviations from the country's law registered, told the observer mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
"The election is being organized calmly, without any deviations from Russian law," Ilhom Nematov, the head of the CIS observer mission, said.
All polling stations in Russia have been equipped with the necessary technical means and information materials, he added.
"We visited three sites in the Moscow Region on Saturday (16 March), so we visited the Kaluga Region, the Ryazan Region, the Vladimir Region ... All of them are working in a structured manner, they have been properly prepared," Nematov said.
The CIS mission is planning to make its final statements on March 18, based on observations in 28 regions of Russia, Nematov added.
