Israel had asked several EU countries, Ukraine, US, Canada, Japan and Australia to adopt sanctions against Iran, the Israeli Foreign Ministry told on Tuesday (16 April).
Earlier in the day, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that he had sent letters to more than 30 countries, calling on them to impose sanctions against Iran's missile program and declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization.
Russia is not among the countries that Israel urged to adopt sanctions.
