Polish President Andrzej Duda will meet with former US President Donald Trump for a dinner in New York on Wednesday (17 April).
The dinner, which is not mentioned in the official schedule of the Polish leader, will take place at Trump Tower on the first day of Duda’s week-long trip to the United States and Canada.
While in New York, Duda will also meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
On Monday, the office of the Canadian prime minister announced that Duda will visit Canada from April 18-23 to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and discuss Ukraine as well as the upcoming NATO summit in Washington in July.
Duda will become the second leader of a European Union member country to meet with Trump before the US presidential election in November. In March, Trump met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at his residence in Florida to discuss various issues of common interest for Hungary and the United States.
