China has launched a regular freight train service from Beijing to Moscow, state media reported on Monday (1 July). A cargo train carrying construction materials, clothing and other goods left a logistics hub in Beijing’s Pinggu District for Moscow earlier in the day.
The first trial train left Beijing for Europe in March. Since then, some adjustments have reportedly been made to improve the train service’s operation.
The launch of the regular freight train service to Moscow allows Beijing to more effectively transport goods to Europe.
