Sony raised its full-year net profit forecast on Wednesday to 980 billion yen ($6.7 billion) from the previous estimate of 925 billion yen, predicting strong sales in its gaming, music and sensor sectors.
The Japanese electronics and entertainment conglomerate logged a 6.5 percent jump in net profit on-year in the first quarter, to 231.6 billion yen.
