BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury have been invited to attend the 'National Prayer Breakfast' to be held in Washington, DC, USA led by the US Congress.
The invitation was extended by US President-elect Donald Trump, said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Chairperson's press wing.
The annual event is scheduled to be held on February 5-6. Some 3,500 guests, including international invitees from over 100 countries, are set to attend the 'National Prayer Breakfast'.
Meetings, luncheons, and dinners have taken place since 1953 on the occasion of 'National Prayer Breakfast'. Donald Trump of Republican is set to be sworn in on January 20 as the 47th president of the United States.
