Spectacular street fair in Brooklyn

Bangladeshi-American Friendship Society of USA Inc. (Buffs) and 66 Pricent Community Council jointly organized the largest 'Brooklyn Street fair' in North America for the ninth time. The fair was held on Sunday (19 May) in Church Avenue in the presence of dignitaries and well-known singers from home and abroad.

Hero freedom fighter and political analyst businessman Abu Jafar Mahmud was present as the chief guest at the fair. The guest of honor was Pendemic Hero dr. Hamiduzzaman. JBBA president Ghiyas Ahmed, community activist Mohammad Hanif were the special guests. Syed SM Reza, Chief Advisor Attorney Moin Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator Nurul Azim, Co-Chairman Abshar Uddin, Advisors Monir Ahmed, Kamal Hossain Mithu, Coordinator Ahsan Habib, Joint Cultural Chairman Jahangir Alam, Iqbal Haider, Cultural Chairman Anik Raj and Member Secretary Feroz Ahmed.

Convener of the fair committee, Shahnewaz said, every year a wonderful get-together is organized during this fair. It is a unique arrangement of indigenous cultural practices.

The president of the fair committee Kazi Azam said, we organize this fair every year. More than 100 local and foreign companies participated in the fair. This year also there are stalls of all kinds of products starting from clothes, food shops. Thousands of people come on this day. It is a grand gathering. This fair is playing a big role in increasing the mutual relations of Bengalis.
