Expatriate minority community living in Canada is going to stage demonstration in front of Otowa Parliament on Monday (23 September).

It is learnt that all arrangement including official permission has been finalized for this demonstration to be held between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on that day. It is expected that thousands of people belonging to minority community including Hindus, Buddhist and Christian, will join that demonstration where many sitting MPs (Member of Parliament) are expected to attend to express their sympathy and solidarity.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina Government amidst anti-discrimination movement, minority community in Bangladesh has been targeted and attacked what has left their expatriates living in Canada in great fear and concern. Therefore, they have started organizing protest with an objective of raising the issue to the Canadian Govt. so that they create pressures on Interim Govt. led by Dr. Younus for taking measures to stop attack on minority and ensure their safety. This Ottawa protest is part of their ongoing demonstration. Previously Bangladeshi minority living in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) has successfully staged large protest in the city’s commercial hub, Downtown, and in Bangladeshi dominant Danforth area.
