The 44th Local Food Fair was held in Finland. The fair was held throughout the day at the K-Compass in the capital Helsinki. About 40 local organizations participated in the fair. They presented various food stalls with various food products. The popularity of local food in Finland and people's interest in supporting Finnish food producers is growing.
These events highlight foods produced by local farmers, such as milk, vegetables, meat, etc. Basically, these events are organized with the idea of making the products of small food traders in Finland more popular with locals and bringing food directly from the farm to the table. The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners supports many initiatives through which local businesses are promoted and environmentally friendly consumption is encouraged in Finland. Overall, such initiatives deepen the relationship between local producers and the general public and increase awareness of Finnish food.
Some events, such as LahirOkapaiva in Finland, have become quite popular. One of the attractions of the fair was Asian curries. Local Delhi Darbar restaurant entrepreneurs came with a variety of dishes to give a taste of the various spicy Bengali dishes. Present were HariHelox and Muktar Ali Mintu, among others.
Locals gathered at the fair with their families to taste the various dishes.
