December 10 of this year marks the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This declaration was adopted on this day in 1948, guaranteeing personal, social, economic, political and religious rights. But with that aim and purpose in mind, the declaration's journey has begun, and now it is under unprecedented threat.
The world has gone mad with hatred and selfishness. That is why bloodshed does not stop in the country and between people, fights, conflicts and wars. Human rights are being violated. What is harmful and destructive to people is being done freely.
Blood is straining in Palestine. Blood is in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Blood is in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan, Congo, Myanmar and Indian Kashmir. People are dying every day, and human rights are being taken away. Heartbreaking cries of unarmed and innocent people are increasing from house to house. There is no end to this crying. Israelis are fighting with Hamas in Gaza.
Peace-loving people are dying there. Especially in hospitals and residential homes, the brutality and torture of children, teenagers and common people are unprecedented. About 17,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza in the past two months. Renewed with a five-day ceasefire The fight has begun.
Innocent Palestinian people are dying every day. The Israelis do not accept any requests or invitations. Now they are crazy with violence. Humanists do not want war on earth. Pacifists are vocal against war. Peace-seeking people want freedom from war. But if some people do not walk on the path of liberation and engage in war for no reason, speak the language of weapons, then the bloodshed will not stop. in different countries of the world, still bleeding.
People are taking people's lives and going crazy with violence. Big institutions like the United Nations seem to have 'turned into philosophy'. Historical charters have failed to prevent conflict and promote peace Magna Carta, the UN Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are all fake. Israel has been playing with Palestinian rights for 75 years.
Rohingyas are being inhumanely tortured in our neighboring country, Myanmar. The brutality of the Myanmar army defies the history of civilization. Shooting and burning of unarmed Rohingyas, disappearances, rape of women and child abuse are recent issues. More than eleven million Rohingya refugees have taken refuge in Bangladesh.
Peace-loving people are not freed from the hands of the invaders. Humanity and human rights are now under threat all over the world. People have lost their right to life. Genocide is being carried out in a planned manner.
Organisations like the United Nations are showing the failure to alleviate the suffering of oppressed people.
Recently, in a report of Sri Lanka Guardian, this picture of the global human rights situation emerged. The current world is passing through a transitional period in terms of humanity and human rights. Genocide and ethnic cleansing are going on in some countries.
A classic example of this is the crackdown by the country's army and allied residents against Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine, Myanmar. Humanity is dying in Syria and Yemen in the Middle East. Palestinian land rights are being taken away. The people of Indian Kashmir are facing the same fate.
Recently added to this list is the name of the Uyghur ethnic group in China. Beijing is taking steps to ethnically and culturally wipe out the Uyghurs.
People are migrating to different regions to escape from killing, destruction and ethnic cleansing. Now the question is: what are human rights and why is there so much discussion about them? The turmoil that is currently prevailing in the world affects every person touching In the past, when technology was not so advanced, the violence that happened, could not touch everyone immediately.
The International Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed on December 10, 1948, in Paris. The preamble to this declaration contains the entire subject. If the statement in this second article had been accepted, no conflict could have arisen in the world. The next article states that no one shall be a slave or hold slavery, and slavery is also abolished.
In this manner, all rights, including human rights, right to trial are enshrined in this declaration. The biggest question now is how far the UN declaration has been implemented.
There are many problems in the implementation of human rights. For example, a person may interfere with the personal rights of others while exercising this right. Such incidents have happened in many countries around the world.
The United Nations adopted two covenants on political and other rights for all. One is the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and another International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).
The reason there were two treaties was that one treaty would have been used more against the capitalist federal system, which was not acceptable to the United States and its successor states. For this reason, the United States did not bind these two covenants to the law of their country.
It is a fact that almost all the countries in the world have not fully implemented the human rights declaration of this world organisation.
But a good thing is that in almost all countries, various movements and organizations are working to implement these rights.
Two world wars have occurred in the last century. Those two world wars took the lives of countless people, many were maimed and burned to death, a lot of wealth was damaged, and many towns were completely destroyed—the data of which is still emerging in various research. Human civilization will be destroyed - which peaceful people never expect.
We want the development of human civilization. Not the destruction of the world, not the sacrifice of destruction—I want the protection of human rights. Along with the excellence of science and technology, we want the awakening of human sense. I want the fall of evil forces. I want a clean and livable world. He wants heart and compassion.
