Mother is a sweet word and the sweetest call in the world. People find boundless peace by calling mother. Everyone knows the depth of this word. We remember Mother in every moment of life. Different thinkers in the world have said different things about mothers said different important things. In real life, no one else makes the sacrifices that mothers make for us. So mother's seat is above all. The mother is elevated to the highest position in every religion. Islam has recognised the "paradise of children under the mother's feet". As this mother is intimately involved with the joys and sorrows of our lives, it is our moral responsibility to be by her side in the joys and sorrows.
This year, May 12 is International Mother's Day. This day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. However, the mother's love does not depend on any fixed date. No matter where the mother is, the love of the mother will always be in the heart of the child. It is known that on May 8, 1914, former American President Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday of May as International Mother's Day in the US Congress. Later in 1962, the day was recognised as an international day. Since then, the day has been celebrated worldwide on the second Sunday of May.
A mother's love is not limited; Similarly, a mother's love is completely unconditional. Since the beginning of the world, many beautiful rhymes, poems, songs, novels and more have been written about mothers! The name 'Mother' hides a different power, affection and love. A mother is an institution, an ocean of affection and love. Mother is a world and something more. A mother has to constantly struggle to keep the ship called family going. If the father is called the banyan tree of the world, the mother is called the driving force, or oxygen. Although the main driving force of income-earning comes from the hands of the father, the responsibility of the driver has to be fulfilled by the mother. Father is usually engrossed in his work. And in the world of little income, the mother moves forward with loud applause. Mothers know the mantra of pouring the water of this urn into the urn to carry on the family. She played the role of an experienced actress in trying not to let her children feel it despite all the hardships. The sick mother regularly informs everyone about the health. Mother floats like a raft next to everyone who is drowning in busyness.
Childhood is the foundation of a future life. The role of the mother is to strengthen this foundation and make it an ideal child of the future. A conscious, wise mother can teach her child to be a proper person. A child's greatest friend is his mother. A mother is not only a birth mother but also an artist of creating children with beautiful characters.
From the time of being in the mother's womb, the child perceives, imitates and follows his mother's nature. All actions, thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and values of the mother affect the child. Because the child stays with the mother 90% of the time during education. The child's first and true teacher is mother. A child's education comes directly from the mother. A mother is a child's beacon. Mother first introduces the child to parents and relatives. Mother talks to her baby all the time while learning to talk. Teaches names of different things, including body parts. In a joint family, the work is much easier, but in a single family the mother has to fulfill the responsibility.
Infancy is very important for mother and a mother's speech is the first language that the baby starts to acquire. Even from infancy, the child learns to imitate every behaviour and speech of the mother. Because children are very imitative. He loves to imitate everything. So the mother has to take care of the baby very carefully at this time. It is through the mother that the child becomes familiar with his family and surroundings. So, the role of the mother is very important in the mental formation and character development of a child.
No one else can provide the care and education of her child with the devotion, sincerity and affection of a mother. In fact, there is no alternative to the mother. It is possible only for the mother to prepare a bag with all the necessary things including books, notebooks and pens, and to reach the school on time with haircut and tidied up. Excessive affection also makes the tender child self-willed. The mother should be aware of that. A child should never be over-disciplined. Punishment for minor sins often makes the child more stubborn. If the mother tries to correct the child with compassion, that effort brings much more benefit than physical punishment.
The responsibility of forming the child's character is mainly to be fulfilled by the mother. In the family, the mother has to set an example in front of the child by showing devotion and respect to the elders and affection to the younger ones. They should not accept unfair obligations with excessive affection. The habit of only wanting to fulfill needs makes the child stubborn. Therefore, the child's needs should be met according to their own abilities. Every mother must spend some time in shaping the child's character in spite of her busy schedule.
The mother's role is immense in guiding the child along the right path with the help of the heart and the guidance of the eyes. The first president of the United States, George Washington, said, 'The most beautiful woman I ever saw was my mother. I am forever indebted to my mother. All the achievements of my life are the result of the morality, intelligence and physical education received from him. Our Prophet (PBUH) himself established the superiority of the dignity of the mother and ordered the followers to play a strong role in protecting the dignity of the mother. In this regard, Bukhari and Muslim Sharif have described it like this: "A person asked the Prophet (PBUH) who among the people is worthy of good company from me?" Prophet (PBUH) says your mother; the person said, then who? The Prophet (PBUH) said still your mother, the person asked again who then, the Prophet (PBUH) said then your mother, the person said then who, the Prophet (PBUH) said then your father”. In other words, mothers have been given more importance among parents. That is why it is said that the ocean has shores, depth but mother's love has no boundaries; it is endless and infinite.
But the concern is that, thinking about the future of the child, the parents dream, build a house, save a lot of hard-earned money for the happiness of the child, but in the old age, the parents have to suffer from the abuse of the child. At the end of life, parents become attached to their children. There are various analyses about these. From sociologists to psychologists and economists, various types of analysis are done. But no analysis is enough to fulfill responsibility and duty towards parents.
The only desire of the parents is to be bound by the bond of love, to receive the services of the child in life. So, it is the duty of every child to take care of old parents. Children are also legally bound to take responsibility of their parents. But the opposite is happening to us. In this age of internet, we are becoming too self-centered in our personal lives, even though we are so-called social on social media. Families are breaking down from molecules to nuclear families. Family breakdown, joint family break up and birth in separate small families are not a new thing. But when do we realise that the families that have become extremely self-centered and inhuman day by day? A child can never repay a parent's debt. Because it is in their hands to see the light of this world, learn to walk, move forward. They are the source of our abundant life since birth. But how carelessly we are neglecting, disrespecting and disrespecting them in their old age. We are neglecting them at the very time when they should be cared for. Alarmingly, the number is increasing day by day. We are witnessing incidents like the old-age homes being shaken by stepping foot on them, which is not desirable and acceptable in any way.
Our whole life has to go on with the morals, intelligence, and physical education we get from our mother. As life goes on, many events-learning-experiences are accumulated. But the main basis is the education received from the mother. Based on this foundation, every ordinary person becomes an ideal personality. He took responsibility for building a society. Bonds are the first condition of society. Society is built on mutual bonds and the first education of this social bond comes mainly from the family. More specifically, from that mother. It's not just about showing love to your mother on Mother's Day. Love for the mother must be destroyed at all times. Because just as mother laid down her life for the betterment of ours, so must we. Humble respect and love to all mothers on Mother's Day. There is no substitute for mother, there is no one like mother in this world and true love comes only from mother.
