On Sunday (5 November), a Dhaka court sent BNP vice-chairman and former Home and Commerce Minister and former Chief of Air Staff Air-Vice Marshal (retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury to jail in a case filed with Ramna Police Station in connection with the attack on the chief justice's residence.
On Sunday, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Sheikh Saadi rejected the bail plea and ordered him to be sent to jail.
Inspector Abu Ansar, the investigation officer of the case, produced the accused before the court and requested to keep him in jail.
Masud Ahmed Talukder filed the bail application on the behalf of Altaf Hossain.
After hearing both sides, the court rejected his bail plea, said his lawyer Taherul Islam Towhid.
Earlier on Sunday morniong, Rab picked up Altaf Hossain Chowdhury from Uttara in the capital.
