Kazi Zafar Ullah appointed co-chairman of AL election steering committee

The ruling Awami League Presidium Member Kazi Zafar Ullah has been appointed as the co-chairman of the election steering committee of the party. 
The decision was finalised during the inaugural meeting of the AL election steering committee held today (Friday) at the Dhaka District AL office at Tejgaon in the city.
AL President and the Chairman of the steering committee, Sheikh Hasina, presided over the meeting, underscoring the importance of a well-organized and strategic approach to the upcoming elections. The meeting was marked by a collective determination to ensure a smooth and successful electoral process.
This development follows a crucial meeting of the AL Central Working Committee on November 9, during which 14 subcommittees, including the AL election steering committee, were formed. Sheikh Hasina was appointed as the chairman of the steering committee, emphasising her pivotal role in shaping the party's electoral strategies.
AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader has been entrusted with the responsibility of member secretary of the election steering committee, reflecting the party's commitment to a comprehensive and coordinated approach in the lead-up to the 12th parliamentary elections slated for January 7, next year.
The appointment of Kazi Zafar Ullah as co-chairman is seen as a strategic move, leveraging his experience and expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the election steering committee. The committee will play a critical role in coordinating the party's electoral activities, ensuring a well-organised campaign, and fostering communication within the party ranks.
