Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has said that his party men are taking part in the national election to protect the party’s potential extinction. He said this following the inauguration of his electoral campaign in the Rangpur-3 constituency on Saturday (23 December).
“We are participating in the election so that the Jatiya Party does not vanish. Besides, we want to ensure continuity of the party and secure presence in the parliament,” Quader said.
The Jatiya Party chairman said that he has not reached any agreement with any party ahead of the election, saying, "An artificial crisis is being created to split the party, but I think it will be impossible."
He emphasized the importance of election transparency and voiced unwavering trust in the Election Commission, noting that his party is participating in the election with complete confidence in the democratic process.
