Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday (4 January) said the country needs Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again in power to protect democracy and continue the development spree to help take the country to a next level.
"Come in big groups and cast your votes for Boat. We need Sheikh Hasina in power to protect democracy," he said while speaking at a huge rally at AKM Shamsuzzoha Sports Complex.
Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina spoke at the rally as the chief guest. It was her last public rally before the election campaign ends
The AL general secretary said BNP has fled with a red card being caught in faoul playing.
He said there will be no room for those who are anti-liberation forces, who are money launderers, and corrupt people.
"We don't want any Hawa Bhaban. Our fight is against plunderers and against corruption," Quader said, apparently pointing finger at BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
He said BNP's movement is found to be a fake one like BNP as a fake party.
Party central leaders and leaders from Narayangaj also spoke.
The venue was packed with boat supporters, and huge people had to listen from outside the venue due to the crowd inside.
