Current Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Anisul Huq has unofficial won from the Brahmanbaria-4 constituency (Kasba-Akhaura upazilas) in the 12th national election that concluded on Sunday (7 January).
Anisul bagged 2, 20, 667 votes while his nearest candidate Shaheen Khan from National Peoples Party with mango symbol secured only 6, 586 votes, putting a margin of 214, 081 votes.
Syed Zafrul Kuddus of Tarikat Federation got 4, 574 votes with the symbol 'Garland of flowers'. The balloting was held at 118 centres in the both upazilas.
Mentionable, the law minister clinched the victory from the seat for a third consecutive time.
