Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday (18 January) said that TIB is BNP’s agent and they talk like BNP while denouncing Transparency International Bangladesh's claim regarding the national election.
"Their (TIB) every remark is one-sided; they advocate for BNP. They're an anti-government organization. "TIB also speaks the same language as BNP," Quader stated during a press briefing event at the AL president's political office at Dhanmondi, in the capital.
"We have realised from history that TIB has always been against the Awami League. They have always worked for the BNP. They work on the basis of research. But we do not find neutrality in their research," Quader added.
In response to a journalist's question about post-election violence, Quader stated, "There is always strategy in politics." We have disagreements, and they will always exist. It exists within all political parties."
AL Organising Secretaries BM Mozammel Haque, Sujit Roy Nandi, SM Kamal Hossain, executive committee members Sayeed Khokon, Parveen Zaman Kalpana, Merina Jahan Kabita, among others, were present on the occasion.
