BNP has announced a black flag march programme on Tuesday (30 January), coinciding with the first session of the new parliament.
The procession will be brought out from all metropolitan cities, districts, upazila and municipality headquarters on that day to press home the party’s demand.
Earlier on Saturday (27 January), the leaders and activists of the party brought out a black flag procession in the area protesting the price hike of all essential items in the country.
“It is not a government that upholds the interests of its people rather, it is supported by Russia, China and India,” he said.
In addition to demanding the dissolution of the existing parliament and the release of party chairperson Khaleda Zia along with other leaders and activists, the BNP will carry out its march program.
In his speech, BNP Vice Chairman Muhammad Shahjahan stated that the results of the January 7 election demonstrate that there are no public representatives in the current parliament.
He said that the countrymen made their stance clear during the January 7th election, expressing their rejection of the ruling party retaining state power.
Partygoers at the event were observed carrying black flags, banners, and festoons.
They were also seen screaming slogans demanding Begum Khaleda Zia's release and condemning the government.
