Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has been named as the Leader of the Opposition in the 12th Parliament, ending weeks of speculation after the January 7 election.
The Parliament Secretariat made the announcement through a notification on Sunday (Jan 28).
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury also appointed Anisul Islam Mahmud as the Deputy Leader of Parliament.
