The ruling Awami League (AL) will hold rally in the capital tomorrow marking the "Genocide Day", according to a party release on Sunday (24 March).
To mark the day, AL Dhaka South and North City units will jointly organise the rally around 2 pm that will be held in front of the Awami League Central Office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, will join the meeting as the chief guest.
On the black night of March 25 in 1971, the Pakistani occupation forces carried out massacre in erstwhile East Pakistan that mercilessly killed several unarmed, innocent Bengalis in one single night.
At first, the Genocide Day was observed across the country officially on March 25, 2017 under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
