BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has emphasized the importance of working towards realizing the dreams of the youth, stating that students and young people are the future of the nation.
After 6 years in front of public speaking virtually at a BNP rally in Nayapaltan on Wednesday, (August 7), at 4:30 PM, she highlighted the need for peace over destruction.
Khaleda Zia stated," This victory has brought us into a new struggle. We must now build a prosperous Bangladesh. Let us empower our youth."
Meanwhile, Nayapaltan area and its surroundings were packed with BNP supporters, who gathered in large numbers with national flags and banners. The area was alive with slogans and vibrant energy.
However, the rally was chaired by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, with BNP Standing Committee member Selima Rahman delivering an opening speech. The main address was given virtually by Tarique Rahman, BNP's acting chairman.
The rally began at 2:45 PM with a recitation from the Quran on a temporary stage in front of the central office, followed by a minute of silence in memory of students killed in anti-discrimination movements and political activists.
