Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud has accused the BNP and its allies of plotting conspiracies across the country in various ways.

Speaking to reporters at the ministry's meeting room in the secretariat on Monday, he stated that the recent Panchagarh mayhem is not an isolated case, and that the BNP and its allies are actively engaged in communal politics.

According to the minister, most of the attackers who caused chaos and killed two individuals at the Ahmadiyya community's event are registered with the police, and are supporters of the BNP.

He also criticised BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's statement regarding the Panchagarh incident, stating that it was an attempt to avoid responsibility.

The minister went on to claim that the BNP and Jamaat were responsible for the attacks. Regarding the recent fire incidents, Hasan stated that the government is investigating whether the Rohingya camp incident was sabotage or part of an attempt to create anarchy.

He also commented on the Science Lab and Sitakunda accidents, which he claimed were unexpected and unfortunate. The minister reassured the public that the government is committed to taking action against those responsible for the incidents.

Earlier, Hasan met with the newly-elected executive committee members of the Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association (BPA) and praised the crucial role of photojournalism in mass media. He highlighted the importance of capturing contemporary issues and history through photography, noting that some photographs can even open the third eye of a society.
