In the 3rd T20I between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Kusal Mendis was the star of the batting innings with 86 runs, supported by Dasun Shanaka who scored 19 off 9 balls.
Wanindu Hasaranga also contributed with a partnership of 59 runs. Soumya Sarkar shone in the field, taking 3 catches.
In the second innings, Bangladesh struggled, losing 5 early wickets and were reduced to 24/5. Rishad Hossain and Taskin Ahmed tried to revive the chase with scores of 53 and 31 respectively. Taskin Ahmed played a crucial role lower down the order with 31 runs. Nuwan Thushara was exceptional, taking 5 wickets for 20 runs with a hattrick in the fifth over of the innings.
Sri Lanka emerged victorious by 28 runs and won the series by 2-1.
