Bangladesh seal the last ODI by 4 wickets

Playing in the last ODI against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh win the series by 2-1 on Monday (18 March). The final ODI was organized in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium of Chottogram.

Batting in the first innings, Janith Liyanage scored a brilliant century to take SL to a respectable total of 235 runs. Taskin got three wickets while both Miraz and Mustafiz grabbed a couple of wickets. Three Bangladeshi players got injured; Soumya Sarker and Jaker Ali got stretched due to their clashing while grabbing a catch.

Batting for a target of 236, Tamim came to open the innings instead of Soumya along with Bijoy and got a good start. He got a brilliant half-century, scoring 84 from just 81 balls. After him, Shanto and Riyad failed to score. Both of them got out just scoring 1 run.

Musfiqur Rahim made a 59 partnership with newcomer Rishad Hossain where he made a blizzard innings, remaining unbeaten for 48 runs from just 18 balls. He scored 24 runs from the 40th over bowled by Hasaranga. Lankan bowler Lahiru got 4 wickets but it all went into vein.

Tiger captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto was the high scorer of the series as well as the man of the series.
