The 'Walton-BSPA Sports Carnival-2024' is going to start on Tuesday. Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) has been organizing the sports carnival for members for the last 10 years. For the last 7 years, the country's electronics giant Walton Hi-Tech Industries Plc is sponsoring this event.
A press conference organized in the meeting room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday (May 12) informed this information. BSPA President Rezwan Uz Zaman Rajib, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Senior Executive Director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don) and Senior Deputy Executive Director Rabiul Islam Milton, BSPA General Secretary Md. Saman Hossain and the chairman of the sports sub-committee Kazi Shahidul Alam were present at the press conference.
This year's sports carnival will begin with carom discipline at the BSPA office on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Senior Executive Director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don) will inaugurate the carnival as chief guest.
This year, more than a hundred members of BSPA will participate in 10 events in 7 disciplines. The events are:- Carrom Singles and Doubles, Table Tennis Singles and Doubles, Chess, Shooting, Archery, Swimming, Call Bridge and Twenty Nine. All the games will be held at Bangabandhu National Stadium and various venues adjacent to the stadium.
