As expected, Australia proved too powerful for Oman in their T20 World Cup opener to win by 39 runs in the Group "B" clash at Bridgetown, Barbados on Thursday.
Batting first, Australia scored 164/5 in their 20 overs before restricting Oman to 125/9 in reply.
It was the Marcus Stoinis show for the Aussies with bat and ball as he top scored with 67* and took 3/19 while bowling to ensure a comprehensive victory.
