Former captain Tamim Iqbal intimated his disappointment over Bangladesh performance in super eight match against Afghanistan, claiming that all the batters should have tried to chase the run to secure a semis spot.

Tamim praised Litton Das innings, he made 54 runs unbeaten against Afghans. But missed his opportunity to do better special in the T-20 World Cup.

He pointed out the Tigers' batting collapse and lack of dedication and stated it as a contributing role throughout the match.

Tamim said to Cricinfos, “Bangladesh came to bat with a clear idea. Litton did well. He usually plays well against Afghanistan because he can read Rashid (Khan) well. He has a good record. I think Bangladesh team was very disappointed. Bangladesh should have tried to chase the runs (to go into the semis). Even if they were all out by 70-80 runs. They had a chance to do something special,"
