In the shootout, Bangladesh's substitute goalkeeper Mohammad Asif made crucial saves, stopping Thanglalngsang's opening penalty and Akash Tirke's fifth penalty to secure victory. For Bangladesh, Piyas Ahmed Nova, Moinul Islam, Shakil Ahmed Tupu, and Ashraful Haque successfully converted their penalties.
Bangladesh will face hosts Nepal in the final.
