Young Bangladeshi pacer Nahid Rana took three wickets in a fiery five-over spell on Monday, the fourth day of the Rawalpindi Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Pakistan, already in trouble at the end of the third day with two wickets down for just nine runs—both taken by Hasan Mahmud—continued to struggle as Nahid made an impact.

Nahid entered the attack in the 17th over. On his third delivery, he dismissed Shan Masood for 28. It was a wide, low delivery that Shan attempted to drive to the square, only to edge it to the wicketkeeper.

The tall, young pacer struck again on the first ball of his next over, removing Babar Azam for 11. Babar tried to defend a delivery at the fourth stump line, but his shot was poorly executed, leading to a catch at first slip.

Nahid claimed his third wicket just an over later, dismissing Saud Shakeel. Saud attempted a drive on a delivery well outside off-stump, but edged it to Litton Das.

Taskin Ahmed took the other wicket that fell on the fourth day, making it a clean sweep for the Bangladeshi pacers. In the first innings, Mehidy Hasan Miraz had starred with the ball, taking five wickets as Bangladesh bowled out Pakistan for 274.

In reply, Bangladesh posted 262 in their first innings, led by a century from Litton Das and a fifty from Mehidy.

At lunch on the fourth day, Pakistan were struggling at 117 for six, with Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan unbeaten at the crease.
