After an intense day at Rajshahi Stadium, Rangpur took 83-run lead against the local team Rajshahi on Day 2 in their fourth round game of the National Cricket League (NCL) today.
Resuming the day at 39-1, Rajshahi looked poised to take a lead but Rangpur fought back admirably to deny them. Rajshahi finally were bowled out for 189, leaving the game in balance.
Rangpur were also bowled out for 189 in its first innings. They however reached 83-4 at stumps in the second innings.
Opener Mim Mosaddek and Chowdhury Md Rizwan who also took three wickets in bowling gave Rangpur a solid start by sharing 48 runs. But Mosaddek's dismissal sparked a collapse as Rangpur lost three more wickets in quick succession.
Mohor Sheikh snared two wickets while Sabbir Hosan who claimed six wickets in the first innings and Sunzamul Islam took one wicket apiece.
