Four-nation Dhiraagu friendship cricket tournament in Maldives

Maldives Correspondent: The Four-country Dhiraagu Friendship Cricket Tournament was held in Maldives with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm. 16 cricket teams of expatriates from four countries including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal participated in it. This is the first major cricket event in the country, organized by the Bangladesh High Commission Cricket Team.

The final of this day-long cricket tournament was held in the evening. In this, the Sri Lankan expatriate team "Toronto Cricket Club" defeated the Indian Friends Cricket Team by 2 runs and took home the tournament champion trophy. Pakistani team player Md. Siraj was selected as the Man of the Match of the tournament, while Saidul Islam was selected as the Man of the Series.

The winners of the four-nation Diragu Friendship Cricket Tournament held at the National Cricket Stadium of Maldives, which has won the title of World tourism  City, were presented with prizes by Dhiraagu Commercial Director Ali Riaz, Maldives Cricket Board Vice Chairman Md. Ishaq, Bangladesh High Commission Third Secretary Zillur Rahman, Maldives BNP President Md. Khalilur Rahman, diragu Telecommunication Officer Marketing Officer Miss Jana and Shuja, Dhaka Traders CEO Babul Hossain, NBL Money Transfer Maldives Private Limited Director Mohammad Hannan Khan Kabir, US Bangla Airlines Maldives Station Manager Mohammad Zahidul Islam, Villa Western Union Private Limited Marketing Manager Mohammad Tanvir, Maldives BNP Vice President Md. Faruk and Maldives BNP Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam, among others.

At the end of the event, Ali Riaz, Commercial Director of Dhiragu, the largest telecommunications company in the Maldives, extended his New Year greetings to the expatriate spectators who came to the field to enjoy the game amidst the busy schedule, including Bangladesh.

In expatriate life, there is no alternative to sports for a healthy and beautiful body, along with work. Therefore, the expectation of expatriates is to continue organizing such sports every year. In addition, through such arrangements, the importance of the country's status will increase among foreigners.
