Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain won the toss and elected to bat first against India in their Champions Trophy opener at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh are playing with three seamers and two spinners. Speedster Nahid Rana misses out as Tanzim Sakib gets the nod.
"We would like to bat first. Looks a good wicket so we want to put runs on the board. We have play good cricket today and the boys are confident. Three spinners, two spinners for us," Najmul said at the toss. India captain Rohit Sharma said he would have fielded first. He based that on their experience of playing here before, when batting was easier under lights.
