The SGMH Cricket Championship 2025, a grand celebration of the garment workers of Standard MH Group, one of Bangladesh's leading readymade garment exporters, concluded with a spectacular final match. Held on Friday morning at Purbachal, the match featured SHM Warriors from Shams Styling Wears Ltd. taking on the TCEWW Gladiators, a team comprising members from The Civil Engineers Oven Limited and The Civil Engineers Wash Limited.
The TCEWW Gladiators emerged as the champions after defeating SHM Warriors by five wickets in the final match. Batting first, the SHM Warriors scored 136 runs for nine wickets in the allotted overs. In response, TCEWW Gladiators reached the target with three overs to spare, thanks to Imran Hossain's match-winning 78 runs, which earned him the title of Man of the Match.
Mohammad Asif was named the Player of the Tournament for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament. The Royal Mawna Team was awarded the Fair Play Trophy for being the most disciplined team in the tournament.
The championship trophy and runner-up awards were presented by Engineer A.K.M. Mosharraf Hossain, Managing Director of Standard MH Group. He was accompanied by Deputy Managing Director Hasnat Mosharraf, along with Directors Husna Ara Begum, Faheem Mosharraf, and H.T.M. Quader Newaz, who all contributed to the celebratory atmosphere.
Speakers at the event highlighted the crucial contribution of garment industry workers to the national economy through their dedication and hard work. Standard MH Group remains committed to encouraging its employees by fostering a sense of community through regular activities such as sports, picnics, and cultural programs.
This year's SGMH Cricket Championship 2025 saw enthusiastic participation from ten teams representing various factories under the Standard MH Group.
